When I click on an MP3 file, the file appears to download but it doesn't play.

This problem is often caused by a conflict between different multimedia players on your computer. Many people have more than one multimedia player on their system i.e. Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, etc. If you are having this problem and you have more than one multimedia player on your computer, make sure only one of your multimedia players is selected to play MP3 and M3U files (.M3U files are playlist files that allow you to stream MP3 files over the internet).
The file I'm trying to play pauses.

There are a couple of potential reasons. You may have a bad or slow connection to the internet or your player might be attempting to play the song while it is downloading. If you continue to have problems you might be better off right-clicking the download link (or left-click-hold if you're using Macintosh) to save the file and play it later.
When I click on an MP3 on my Mac, it just shows a "Q" Quicktime logo and doesn't play.

This is a problem with Netscape's default preference settings that may incorrectly try to play MP3 files using QuickTime, which does not support streaming MP3 files. Go to our MP3 Players page to install a different MP3 player.
